On top of that, Myra tries out for the school's soccer team, only to be put in the midfield. She can't show off her skills when nothing exciting ever happens there!
What will it take for Myra to feel marvellous in the middle?
Eight-year-old Myra lives with her family - her mum, dad, Muthashi (grandma) and older sister, Anya. Life is good. But when she is told that her mum is expecting another baby, she is worried that she will be lost in the middle.
When she tries out, and makes, the soccer team she craves an important role like the striker. But then she is placed in the midfield, and she once again feels lost in the middle. Little does she expect the instant love that she would have for her baby brother. She also realises the important link up role that a midfielder plays, and she starts to gain a happier acceptance for where her life is at.
