In the first book in this new series, we see penguins Pablo and Splash embarking on the adventure of a lifetime.
They are opposites in character and in their outlook on life—Splash doesn't take things too seriously and is up for an adventure, while Pablo is a thinker and a planner. What could possibly go wrong when Splash convinces Pablo that they need a holiday somewhere warm?We all know that the answer is likely to be a lot!
Pablo and Splash find themselves caught up in the world of Professor O'Brain, a strange scientist who just happens to have a time-machine to get them out of Antarctica. But where they are headed, and then where they end up, is nothing like they thought! Where is the hotel and the beach bar? And why are there dinosaurs roaming around?
Pablo and Splash are delightful characters and students will thoroughly enjoy the adventure that they are on. With features at the back of the book that include facts and how-to-draw guides, this is a graphic novel that will appeal to junior and middle level primary students.
