This is a wonderful new series that emerging readers are going to love and many will relate to.
Squishy is currently living with her Dad, her step-mum, her new baby half-brother and her ‘very annoying’ twin sisters Vee & Jessie, while her Mum is living in Geneva. This blended family situation is difficult for all of them at times, but they find a way to make it work.
When Squishy finds a young boy living in the basement of their apartment, she wants to keep him a secret, but her step-sisters soon find out. This whole situation brings them closer together as a family unit. They have promised him that they won’t tell anyone he’s there, but they know they need to. What are they going to do?
This series is designed to fill the gap between picture books and chapter books and it is does this very well. I am sure young girls will be wanting to read the rest of the series as they are released!
