Zed lives with his Dad, who is the First Hunter of the Authority, an organisation that protects everyone from the evil Demons that fall from the sky.
Zed is determined to be just like his Dad. And, along with all the children of Hunters, he isassessed at age 12 by the Superior to see what qualities he has.
But when things don’t quite go to plan at Zed’s assessment, it sets off a chain of events that will see Zed coming into contact with a real-life Demon, Spark, who is nothing like he has been told. Spark is just a boy who really wants to go home ...
Zed and Spark form a strong friendship, which is something that Zed has never experienced, as he has always moved around a lot. But can they really trust each other? After all, a Hunter has one job - to eliminate Demons, not make friends with them. And why would Zed’s Dad have lied to him his whole life?
This is a fantastic adventure story that sees Zed questioning his Dad, and everything else he has ever been taught. Can he find out the truth about what is really going on, before it is too late?
