Review

Cooper is a budding magician, who is following in the footsteps of his father The Great Eduardo aka Eddie. But he is struggling to find his way after the sudden death of his Dad.

His Mum is coping with her grief with the help of her yoga, but she needs Cooper to help her with lots of things - and particularly with occupying his little brother, Fin. And the kids at school need him to amaze them with his magic.

His closest friend, Tori, thinks that Cooper needs to talk about his feelings, but Cooper just doesn’t know what he needs.

When the rabbit that his Dad used to pull out of the hat comes to life and speaks to him, suddenly they are off on a journey to search for his father.

Can Cooper find his father, or is he really gone forever?

Tackling grief and loss, friendship, learning how to move on, and exploring how people live on through their family’s memories, this is a terrific and witty graphic novel suitable for readers aged 9 to 12.
