Ava goes to school in London and she has been given an important job. There is a new girl from Australia called Liv starting at their school, and the principal, Mrs Taylor, has asked Ava to be her buddy and show her around. Ava hopes that Liv will get used to her wheelchair and different way of speaking.
Ava and her friends decide to hold a sports day with a Team Australia and a Team England to help Liv feel at home. But a sports day takes a lot of work to organise. Will everything go to plan? And will Liv enjoy it?
This is a wonderful new series that is sure to be popular. Friendship and family is at the heart of this book, with many diverse characters and lots of ways to make people feel included. It also has beautiful illustrations that perfectly compliment the text.
