Nanny Piggins loves to tell stories, so telling Michael, Derrick and Samantha her version of what happened all those years ago is a wonderful way of educating the children. And there is no way that logic, science or biology should get in the way of her explaining her take on what went on!
With many of the stories of the Gods and characters overlapping, students will get a sense of life during this time. But they will have to decipher the facts from the fiction, as Nanny Piggins does have a wonderful imagination, and a fascination with cake and chocolate!
There is an overriding sense of the Gods not being particularly nice, with many a fight taking place and trickery everywhere, as well an extremely large number of nymphs in various forms who all make many appearances!
With fun facts at the end of many of the chapters, this is not only a fun read, but an informative one as well. It will be best suited to those in upper primary and lower secondary.
