Elizabeth Miller has always lived in Deni. In a small rural town, Beth's biggest problem is telling her protective and fiercely private father that she has a boyfriend.

But when her dad disappears before her and Jonah's eyes, Beth discovers that he's not who she thought he was. Her family's secret past has caught up with them, and someone wants her dead.

Beth has been unwittingly prepared for this moment her whole life. Will it be enough to outrun - and outsmart - her hunters?

Review

Beth thought that her life in the rural town of Deni was just like that of any other teenager. She was juggling school and everyday life, and was excited about her new, although still secret, relationship with Jonah. The one thing that made her different to everyone else was her overprotective father, a feared karate coach and survival expert.

So when her father suddenly goes missing and her Mum goes into full on survival mode, all that Beth has ever known is turned on it’s head. Was she being primed for this her whole life?

This is truly an action packed novel that is full of surprises. Every move, or wrong move, has dire consequences, and together Beth and Jonah must fight for survival.

Although the story is action-packed, it’s not all action. Beth faces every realm of emotion and this story has it all - love, hate, friendship, hurt, betrayal, secrets, loss, deceit, regret, anger, remorse and an overriding sense of grief, in many forms.

This a novel that will be enjoyed by all those 14+.
