Review

Millie and Stella are best friends who like nothing better than spending time together with their ponies.

Millie has only just started at her wonderful new school, but when her and Stella are chosen tobe joint librarians for their new school library, the rich and snooty Gwenyth is upset. When she seeks revenge on the girls, Millie is at risk of spiralling downward, like she has before...

There is also a drought and so the girls ask a neighbour, who has beautiful grass in her paddock, if they can keep their horses there. But when the horses escape and ruin Mrs White’s vegetable patch, it seems like everything is going against them. They are absolutely sure that they locked the gates, so how did their horses get out?

This is a lovely story with themes of friendship, animals, getting along with others and the feeling of happiness that comes from trying your best, that will be loved by many primary aged readers, from 8 to 11 years.
