Set in Redfern, nineteen-year-old Evie was born into a tight knit Wiradjuri family. She is currently a university student, but she is struggling - carrying the pain of being sexually abused when she was fifteen.
Then she bumps into James and they light up each other’s lives - and a whirlwind romance ensues. Evie takes James on a journey to meet her extended family on her beloved country, before they tell anyone of their plans to marry.
