Temora Tempest is a wordspinner and lives in the lunary world. She is learning how to bring stories and dreams to the children of the real world.
When the Literi take over her school, Lyfthelm Tower, everything starts going wrong.There is no colour anymore and so many rules and regulations. So when Temora andher friends find out that the Wordsnatcher is roaming around both worlds and making children wordless, they realise that it is up to them to band together to stop him and change their world before it’s too late.
This is the second book in the Word Spinner series, and I loved it without reading the first one (although I think I may have to go find a copy to read now!). You will already have a copy of Book One from our May standing order.
Temora and her friends are great characters and the story is fast-paced and exciting. Kate Gordon has created a wonderful fantasy world that is easy to lose yourself in.There are strong themes of friendship and family woven throughout the story and it is perfect for fantasy lovers in Year 5 and up.
