Harri has just started college, but that hasn't dulled her obsession with the boyband Half Light. She is immersed in their online fandom, full of people who share her passion for anything relating to the band.
When a band member is murdered and the leading man, Frankie, is arrested on suspicion of murder, this sends shockwaves through the online community. Not only do Harri and her friends not believe this is possible, but they set about proving his innocence. Surely he is innocent?
The story is fast-paced, and witty. Harri’s friendships may be online, but the real passion that they share makes them no less real.
I loved the characters, particularly Harri and her best friend Jas. Whilst the premise of the story may seem a little over the top, you remain grounded in Harri’s situation and her endeavours to solve the mystery.
Exploring online culture, idol worship, mystery and friendship, this is a thoroughly enjoyable book that will appeal to teen readers of all ages.
