The Kingdoms of the Dinosaurs are at war, so when Eleri saves an enemy soldier he is banished from his herd to the Deadlands, where almost nothing grows and no one returns.
There, Eleri meets other exiles and together this band of misfits from all the different herbivore dinosaur herds must work together to survive. Along the way they realise that the war is being manipulated by the carnivore dinosaurs to ensure an never ending food supply for themselves. Can they save themselves and their herds, before it’s too late?
This is a wonderful story with lots of action and characters that you will love. Eleri is small, fast and wants to be a storyteller and not a soldier, but he soon realises that courage comes in many forms.
A story of friendship, and survival against the odds that readers who love dinosaurs will thoroughly enjoy. Perfect for those in lower secondary.
