A wonderful mystery set in Paris amidst the glitz and glamour of the magical 1920s, Pepper finds herself embroiled in two mysteries worthy of her detective work.
In their small boutique hotel an American goes missing, leaving his fiancé distraught. On the same night, a famous Faberge egg disappears.
Nobody wants the police involved, and Pepper sees this as the perfect opportunity to prove her detective skills. But a fellow guest - who was formerly a world-renowned thief and escape artist - also wants to investigate. He wants to add it to his memoir and prove that he has turned over a new leaf. But Pepper doesn’t trust him, and does not want to share all her discoveries with him - but she has to at least pretend.
In their efforts to solve the case,
Pepper and her friends go on many late night missions of discovery.The others mostly want to find the missing tourist, but Pepper knows that the heart of this mystery is the missing egg.
Can Pepper prove her detective ability and, with the help of her friends, discover what really happened that night?
