This is a very humorous younger novel from Clayton Zane Comber, the author of 100 Remarkable Feats of Zander Maze, which was shortlisted for the Prime Minister’s Literary Award, in collaboration with his friend Conor McCammon.
When Poppy and Billy’s Mum (who also the world’s greatest inventor) goes missing from their home on Monkey Island, they have no choice but to investigate.
With the help of Harold the gorilla and many other animal friends, they find their Mum’s greatest invention - her monkey powered marvellous submarine - and set out to save her. Lots of quirky and zany events happen on their journey, including being captured by pirates and swallowed by the world’s largest blue whale, but nothing will stop our eclectic group!
With lot’s of laugh out loud moments, wonderful animals, adventure and a determination to save their Mum, young readers aged from 7 to 10 years will thoroughly enjoy this story.
