Description

From the author of The Summer of Broken Rules comes a new coming-of-age novel. When Lily Hopper decides to shed her goody two-shoes persona and participate in an epic senior prank before boarding school graduation, she expects fun, rule-breaking, and a story to remember...what she doesn't expect is to fall back in love with her ex.

Lily Hopper has two more weeks until she's officially finished with boarding school. With graduation quickly approaching Lily is worried that she's somehow missed out on the fun of being in high school. So, when she receives a mysterious note inviting her to join the anonymous senior class Jester in executing the end-of-year prank, Lily sees her chance to put her goody-two-shoes reputation behind her.

When Lily realizes the Jester is none other than Taggart Swell, her ex- boyfriend, she's already in too deep to back out. Lily might've dumped Tag, but she still has major feelings. Plus, his brilliant plan to steal the school's yearbooks, targets none other than Lily's prom date- the Senior Class President, Daniel.

As the group of pranksters hide cryptic clues across campus for Daniel to find, Lily and Tag find themselves in close quarters. As the exes dodge Campus Safety guards, night owl teachers, a troop of freshmen, and even Daniel himself, new sparks fly. But old hurts and painful secrets refuse to be ignored. And with graduation on the horizon, Lily can only hope that breaking the rules will help mend her heart.

Review

Set in a wealthy American boarding school, this is a coming of age story about reconnecting with your one true love.

High school is about to end for Lily, who lives with her Mum (the school's most beloved teacher) in a house on campus.

When her ex-boyfriend Tag is unexpectedly given the role of the school Jester, who will play an end of year prank, he enlists Lily to be one his secret helpers. They haven't had much to do with each other since Lily dumped him. They were both high achievers, but they broke up when Tag started swimming great times and he suddenly had every girl flirting with him - and Lily doubted that she could measure up.

Lily has never broken the rules before but their all night escapade to set up the prank will get her in serious trouble if they are discovered. Lily forgets all of this when Tag has a diabetic emergency and she risks her perfect record to help him, whilst realising she is also still madly in love with him.

Will they get away with pulling the greatest prank in their school's history and get back together, or will they be discovered and probably expelled?

This is a fun second-chance romance novel, full of Taylor Swift and Schitt's Creek references that will be enjoyed by teen readers, especially those that enjoy romance stories, aged 13 and above.
